So, what is outreach?

Outreach is an extension of God's Church into our community. It is the hands and feet equipped and ready to share the good word of Jesus Christ. A compassionate listener along with a helping hand. Outreach exists to hear the needs, connect with compassion and care. We are reminded in Acts 20:35 "it is more blessed to give than to receive" and "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another" - 1 Peter 4:10.

I like to think of Outreach ministries as a connection with the everyday realities of life. Who volunteers in Outreach? This is the exciting part. The needs can range from a simple visit to repair/maintenance. Ultimately, the desired outcome is a connection between God's Church and our surrounding communities. The question I always ask myself is simply this: Did we make it easier for someone to know Jesus?
